Event Overview: This year marks the 50th anniversary of the 1967 Referendum where sections s51 and s127 of the constitution which discriminated against Aboriginal peoples was changed. In this video conference students will learn about what a referendum is, and why the 1967 referendum was held and the impacts that it had on Aboriginal peoples. Students will conduct their own referendum, design a poster, role play a radio or television broadcast or conduct a debate about a current Indigenous issue.
