Come along and join our Aboriginal Education Officers in an exploration of Country, as we learn Aboriginal perspectives using traditional Wiradjuri, Barkandji and Cadigal language as an interpretation to fun learning of identifying country, plants, animals, people and objects.

This lesson provides a focus of understanding traditional Aboriginal languages and perspectives through identity, connection and country.

• Gain an appreciation of Aboriginal perspectives of plants and animals and the environment in relation to caring for country through recognising the environment around you
• Understand how plants have been used by Aboriginal people for food, medicine, tools and weapons for occupation and survival
• Learn about identity and connection to country from Aboriginal people

Students will...

• Learn about recognising country Australia through the eyes of Aboriginal people
