Event Overview: This unique digital excursion will take HSC students inside a performance artwork where they become both the audience and an integral part of the artwork itself. Open only to small groups of visual arts students in years 11 and 12, students. The performance will be followed by a discussion with the artist Malcolm Whitaker about the art work and performance art more generally.
Ignoramus Anonymous takes the form of a support group meeting for the ignorant - i.e. for anyone and everyone. Ignoramus Anonymous is a participatory performance project that has been devised for a small groups as a playful reaction to a culture intent on quantifying knowledge and expertise.
Ignoramus Anaymous is created and facilitated by Malcolm Whittaker. Presented by the MCA as part of the Sonic Social program.
Additional Booking Instructions: Limited to only one school for each of the digital excursions, suitable for small groups of visual arts students 8 - 15 students, suitable only for students in years 11 and 12.
