Event Overview: THIS DIGITAL MASTERCLASS IS DESIGNED FOR SCHOOLS THAT HAVE BOOKED TICKETS TO SEE BELL SHAKESPEARE'S PRODUCTION OF MACBETH AT THE OPERA HOUSE IN 2014.

The Scottish Play descends upon Sydney Opera House with pace, power and passion. Shakespeare’s classic play of dark and bloody deeds, ambition, desire, and the highest of stakes will leave you breathless after an explosive 90 minutes. This schools-dedicated production follows Macbeth and his vaulting ambition from supernatural solicitings to gruesome consequences. How far would you go to get what you want?

In advance of the live performance, Bell Shakespeare Arts Educators will present 1-hour workshops via video-conference, designed to guide students through the plot, key scenes, Shakespeare’s language, and production insights from behind the scenes. This innovative workshop will have students up on their feet, delving into the darkness of Macbeth for the ultimate preparation for their in-theatre experience.
