Mark McGrouther Collection Manager; Ichthyology (Fish) will talk about the collection and some of the exciting field trips he's been on. Mark has been involved in 30 collecting trips and expeditions within Australia and throughout the Pacific.
Fishes show a startling variety of body forms and behaviours - from the massive whale shark down to the smallest fishes under a centimetre in length. Worldwide there are over 32,000 described species, with over 4,400 from Australia.
