It introduces students to the idea of curatorial practice and allows students to examine and discuss Aboriginal artworks displayed at the AGNSW. HOME connects professional Aboriginal artists, students, and teachers with local regional galleries and the Art Gallery of NSW to explore cultural practice and art making. It is an expansive three-term program exploring Aboriginal and Torres Strait art and artmaking. The program includes professional development for teachers followed by the support to deliver a bespoke visual arts program for Stage 3-4 students culminating in an exhibition opportunity at your regional gallery.
Information on how to be part of the HOME program can be found on The Arts Unit website: https://www.artsunit.nsw.edu.au/node/14336
