Reef HQ - Great Barrier Reef Aquarium
Reef Videoconferencing is an exciting, stimulating and easy way to involve and engage students of all ages in learning about the Great Barrier Reef. During this underwater virtual dive adventure, your classroom will be transported to the Coral Reef and Predator exhibits at Reef HQ Aquarium, the National Education Centre for the Great Barrier Reef Marin Park Authority, in Townsville, North Queensland, Australia. State-of-the-art technology unlocks unique teaching and learning experiences, including information delivered live by a SCUBA diver. Reef Videoconferencing has the ability to educate students about the diversity of reef creatures, the adaptations they possess and the role they play within the reef community. We also explore the inter-relationships between marine creatures, threats to the reef and ways we can all help protect and look after the Great Barrier Reef. The program is facilitated by a team of highly qualified marine educators who are flexible in their delivery of presentations, which can be targeted to suit all ages and stages of learning. Should you have a specific focus or interest, our educators can tailor your presentation to meet the needs and learning objectives of your class. Reef Videoconferencing is proudly brought to you by Polycom state of the art videoconferencing technology.
